• help you obtain the best possible stamp duty result for your transaction. In some States, there are exemptions and concessions from stamp duty for the setting up of a property custodian trust and/or on the transfer of property from a member of a SMSF to the individual’s SMSF. Otherwise duty at rates of up to 5.5% or more may apply to the transfer of property. Mortgage duty may also apply on the obtaining of a mortgage over the property, if required;
• advise you on all aspects of the transaction, including which entity should be noted on the contract, where purchase moneys should come from and other issues which arise in all conveyancing transactions; and
• assist you the proper stamping of your property custodian trust deed with the Office of State Revenue.
